In June of 2013, following on from completion my Degree, I entered work from my Degree Show into the RDS Student Art Awards and was delighted when my prints were selected for the show.

The show was opened by Kim Mawhinney, who spoke sincerely of all exhibiting artists navigating the world of art, particularly giving thanks to our parents, for encouraging us to pursue our chosen careers in art. This really struck a chord with me, as I would not at all be where I am today without the support of my wonderful parents.
I was extremely honoured to take home the RDS Printmaking Award, having entered the exhibition purely in the hope of having a single piece of work selected for show.
