LED strip
The project was developed at the Fraunhofer FIT research institute as part of my master's thesis. I was responsible for every stage of the project - related projects review, user research, design, development and user evaluation.
Communication and awareness are often degraded at the workplace due to certain architectural design decisions. This results in poor communication and lower team performance. This project aims at improving awareness at the workplace using colorful light for information display. The user evaluation results indicate high potential of using colorful light to improve awareness.
An LED strip was installed in the coffee room of the office - it changes color to convey information. A short glance while having a coffee or passing by is enough to inform the workers of the office situation.
