Dîner En Blanc, à Paris.

Dîner En Blanc-Paris. 1999
The "Dîner en Blanc" concept began in Paris in 1988 when  Frenchman François Pasquier invited a group of friends to an elegant outdoor Dinner at the Bois de  Boulogne   asking them to dress in white so they could find each other. The event's presence has grown to over 85 cities, with almost 17,000 gathering for the 30th-anniversary event in Paris.
This series of photography is some of my best memories of this event that took place in  an open-air square next to the Metro- Place du  Palais Royal, in Paris.
This  prestigious event of urban Pique-Unique was created by the Parisien through the earlier  time of the Internet had a quick success.
This new  project gives me some opportunity to look back that old days and to say someone, Look, we did  not have MOBILE PHONES TO DISTRACT US. WE WERE ABLE TO GET TOGETHER WITH OUT ANY DISTRACTION OR WORRY ON A QUICK MEET UP BY JUST THROUGH THE INTERNET, every time we met all we had to do was to introduce ourself to the ones who were next to us.
Yes, we had to carry our chairs and tables with us and it was a great fun.
We had one obligatory guide line and it was not a rule. All the participants have to be "Dressed in white " as the Theme "Dîner en Blanc" (Dine in white) and in any fancy dress in white as well.
Remember we said to each other BON APPÈTI !!!!!!
