The back of the Gauforum in transition project
This is a project for the shopping mall in Weimar, Thüringen, Germany. This shopping mall has an old-style building with lots of lost spaces around. The aim of the project is to gain the old gauforum's popularity in this area and make a connection between the shopping mall and the Park Ihm which is very important river and park in Weimar.
This is a group project I made with Lisa-Marie, Philipp and Dania, thank you to my friends for being very nice and helpful in my unusual Erasmus semester..
To make the area bigger, our first implementation is shifting the road on the right
We made a complex shopping and gathering area in the center to create a huge public space. Also the other surrounding buildings across the streets are designed to lead people to the river and other important places in the city.
Our concept is having so many functions in one place. Also we want it to fit Weimar's athmosphere but also be more modern with brick and wood facade.
