I discovered polygon art whilst doing my Professional Diploma in Graphic Design and have since been fascinated by how shapes as basic as triangles can be combined with colour to create detailed scenes and images. 

This first piece is based on a picture I took at Deer Park Avenue's shooting of the music video for "Scars." I used it as a background in Illustrator to draw triangles (no fill) around areas that had the same colour. I then filled in the triangles and removed the stroke to create this polygon image based on my own photograph. This was used as promotional material for the band. 

After trying out polygon art previously, I wanted to apply it on a very different colour scheme and setting. This cat (Zuko) proved to have intricate orange and white patterns on his fur and I had fun creating the triangles for the image.
