Il Gigante Osvaldo
è un albo illustrato, frutto della mia tesi di laurea intitolata : “La tirannia del normale. Analisi della figura del freak nella storia e nell'immaginario". La mia ricerca si focalizza in particolare sulla percezione e sul giudizio che l'essere umano ha da sempre rispetto alla diversità fisica.
"Il Gigante Osvaldo” parla infatti della diversità, dell'emarginazione e della paura per il "diverso" e ha l'obiettivo di sensibilizzare lo sguardo del lettore sul tema presentato attraverso l'uso delle immagini e un'introduzione iniziale che lo conduce direttamente dentro al racconto.
Il ruolo del lettore è fondamentale nell'interpretare la storia e nell'elaborarla in modo personale e creativo.

Osvaldo vuole raccontare come diversità significa ricchezza, e lo dimostra proprio con la sua natura magica in grado di creare sogni. Solo chi riesce ad andare oltre all'apparenza può scoprire la vera essenza delle cose e tornare così a sognare.
