At Lindeman & Associates, this poster finish for Venom was led by Senior Finisher Ashley LaCasse. I was the assisting finisher and my responsibility was just illustrating and making the Venom (Left) side look realistic as possible. (This is my jam!)
We were provided with a pretty rough/pixelated 3D model that didn’t quite match the composition. I had to essentially paint over most of it; painting the teeth/mouth from scratch, all the tendrils, lots of gooey specular highlights, other details/etc. Lots of fun for me. (All while matching the original comp design, of course)
