This design is for the vinyl edition of Jack Johnson famous 'In between Dream' album. There are three variations that are part of a series. The overall theme is nature and summer.
A recurring motif is, of course, the guitare. Simply put, the guitare is crucial for the flow and unique appeal of Jack Johnson’s music. It accompanies every song, sometimes even as the only instrument.
Jack Johnson embodies a free and spirited life, and this message is transported through his music. As a passionate surfer he also cares about the environment and supports environmental campaigns.
The motives accompanying the guitare are for this reason also inspired by nature: a pineapple, representing freshness and summer, a sea turtle to advocate for nature and the ocean and an quitare shaped island as the final piece.

The colors blue and yellow were also chosen to represent the aspect of summer, sun and the ocean. The technique used was linocut, something made by hand encompassing a more natural and personal feeling.
