Redesigning Thelma's website gave me the opportunity to mix traditional illustrations, which appear more friendly and authentic, into Web design for the first time. The four drawings I created illustrate the Thelma's approach to reminiscence: a cosy environment, some tea and biscuits, surrounded by objects from the past that you are allowed to touch to help bringing back memories.

On the homepage, I used these drawings to guide the users across different sections of information. As Thelma offers a wide range of activities and resources to different group of people, it is important to help users find what is relevant to them and take action.
