Mission - Concept UX UI
Recently I used their services abroad, and it would be an understatement to say that I didn’t like the user experience of their web site, it just took too much time. I shared it with our guys and we thought about how we can do it simpler and more user-friendly. That’s what we came up with.
Why a user goes to the Avis website? To reserve a vehicle for his next trip, the easiest way. The problem starts when he isn’t sure what are his options. Out solution, before showing him all his options, to filter by type or class. The UI design kept simple, in order to make a clear call to action, and not confuse the user with too much information and possibilities. The user gets to view to catalog only after he filtered the relevant class, and he can simply and quickly pick the car he wants. Then he gets a summary, and here is the opportunity to sell extras and packages. Now all left it’s just the checkout and his reservation is ready.
