Facebook Introduces Screen Sharing Feature for Mobile Phones

The current situation has forced us to confine ourselves tour houses and do almost all our tasks from home. It is a unique situation, and the world has been developing novel ways to get work done. All of us were only familiar with working in office buildings, but now that we are confined to our laptops at home, conferencing apps and video chats have become very common.
Many video conferencing services saw this as an opportunity. They bridged the employees and employers with enhanced features, subscription options for longer meetings, mute/unmute features, security updates, and so much more. One of those essential features is screen sharing. Many platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams have ensured that the share screen feature is appropriately functional and well highlighted for users.
Apart from work, people are also using video calls to connect with loved ones. People instinctively turn to platforms like Facebook Messenger for such purposes. Up until now, Facebook Messenger had the option of screen sharing for web or in apps limited to desktops. Facebook has just introduced the screen sharing feature on its mobile apps too.

The update is available on both Android and iOS devices. The feature lets you share screenshots, photos, lists, videos, and much more with your friends and family. Facebook conducted beta tests for weeks, and when they were sure, they released it for the public. You can choose to have groups of up to 8 people in one chat on the Messenger and up to 16 people on the Facebook Rooms.
The screen share feature is straightforward to use. The users need to swipe upwards, and the option of “share your screen” becomes visible. Users need to click on three different popups before your screen is visible to others. Facebook may have put this to ensure that you do not begin sharing screen by mistake.
To enhance the user experience, Facebook announced that the feature would be modified to regulate which members can share screens and which cannot. It will be an excellent development to prevent issues like “zoom-bombing.”  Facebook Rooms will soon have the option to add up to 50 people in one video conference. This constant effort by video calling platforms like Skype, WhatsApp, Zoom, and Messenger has provided excellent support for people who feel the need to connect with the world during this difficult time.
