The purpose of this project is to produce photographic material that would be used in a new book cover designs. The books I chose were, Perfume: The Story of a Murder by Patrick Süskind and Solaris by Stanisław Lem.
― Perfume: The Story of a Murder by Patrick Süskind
The photographs were taken in low key background lighting with a flash head. The fake white flower was used to represent scent and purity. The two hands surrounding the hand holding a flower were used to portray the act of murder, thus fake blood was used.

― Solaris by Stanisław Lem
The photographs were taken in low key background lighting with a soft box. I used white see through transparent plastic trash bag and tore a vertical hole in the middle. This was to show that my model was trying to escape into or out of another dimension.
