the rock path in Trier

The red sandstone rocks in the west of Trier have no natural origin. They were created by Roman and medieval quarries. For centuries, the building material for the city of Trier was mined here.
Today, from the rock path at the top of the rock face, one has a beautiful view of the city and the Moselle.
Thank you :-)
