DESIGN THESIS : AI TECHNOLOGY & IDEA GENERATOR CENTER - CONCEPT, PLANS, ELEVATIONS & PERSPECTIVES (3/5)
A green network is proposed for the project to bridge the technology, community and the environment, to provide areas for flora and fauna to live, to improve biodiversity and to promote ecosystem health and resilience in the site and in the surrounding communities. Furthermore, to give awareness for public that technology is a connection between human and others such as environment, nature, people and animals.
"A Park in A Building" is inspired by the site context which is fulled of greenery. The Bukit Jalil also a place for recreation and the reserved forest. The initially idea of the project is to bring community to interact with latest / future technology. Thus, also brings in the natural / green into the building to blend with the community. The form of building is organic that symbolic the natural surrounding and the futuristic. This project using a park and network as concept to connect different of us under a roof / space to get know new things / knowledge. A building that integrated with smart system in the energy saving for green energy. A building that like a small recreation park with technology for community to experience and learnt.
This project is included an enjoyable landscape courtyard with a relaxing co-working area and experiential boardwalk that brings visitors into a AI technology experiencing & commercial space and through interactive landscape features within a comfortable micro-climate. The micro climate within AI center is controlled by the integration of landscape design and innovative engineering resulting in a waterscape that is a successful catalyst of activities, where adults can enjoy the atmosphere while children line up for the interactive water features.
The designed ‘forest’ uses a softscape palette of plants indigenous to a sub-tropical to a tropical climate, including finely textured ferns and moss, to create a unique commercial landscape that blends the surrounding restaurants with natural greenery. User-based landscape design creates a new way to experience both the landscape and shops that are located at different levels. The lower level is dropped to create a sunken plaza space for various events. The landscape design is a very interactive and experiential space that encourages visitors to be in contact with its material design.
