Star Wars: The Force Awakens

I had to pinch myself everyday working on this project because I couldn’t believe I was finally working on Star Wars. I was one of the finishers to work on not only the payoff poster, but a lot of the other promotional images too. I wasn't solely responsible any one of these images because it was very much a team effort; elevating and painting tons of assets that needed to be of the highest quality.

My contribution to the payoff poster was building quite a few of the characters (from several shots), talent approved re-touching, re-lighting and painting FX.

As insignificant as it might seem, my primary role was to re-paint almost all of BB-8 at very high-rez. Unfortunately, the design comp was approved using a flipped shot and it couldn’t go out into the world with inconsistent details of the character. Furthermore, we weren’t provided with any shots of BB-8 that were the correct angle so I had to make a lot of it from scratch by painting the details from reference. I also had to re-paint a few areas of Rey and the blowing sand.

Several of the billboards I worked on; mostly re-touching, re-lighting, and painting the VFX. (sparks, smoke, snow, dust, etc.)
