GetYourGuide Glossary

GetYourGuide Company Glossary
The GetYourGuide Glossary was a cross-functional project I led and coordinated which involved multiple teams and stakeholders across the company including localization, content editing, employer branding, sales, and UX writing.

I began by reading all of the various glossaries that had been created by different teams over the course of 10 years. Having accounted for all team-specific definitions and use cases, I then created a new glossary which would standardize commonly use terms and  act as the source of truth for all terminology used at GetYourGuide. I proposed new definitions for terms with conflicting definitions and then solicited feedback from the impacted teams.

There are currently 170 terms in the Master Glossary with more being added every week. This glossary has also been localized into 18 different languages and forms the basis for our translation memory at GetYourGuide. I also created a company slack channel for communicating any changes in definition to all stakeholders as answering any questions regarding proper terminology usage throughout the company.
