I'm continuing to find tranquility in and around this home I've grown to love.

It has become an oasis in these troubled months of 2020.
Home, for me, is not just a place.

It's a person.

We are finally home.
I live in my own little world.

But its ok, they know me here.

Lauren Myracle

Perhaps home is not a place but simply an irrevocable condition.

James Baldwin
To a poet, his works aren't just a reflection of life itself, but an entire life in the boundless invisible.

We cannot see the wind, but we can feel it, we cannot see the warmth of the sun, but we can also feel it.

This bond between nature and humans is the best proof of the Creator’s existence.

Walter William Safar

No bought potpourri is so pleasant as that made from one's own garden, for the petals of the flowers one has gathered at home hold the sunshine and memories of summer, and of past summers.

Eleanor Sinclair-Rhode
Sail Forth- Steer for the deep waters only.

Reckless O soul, exploring. I with thee and thou with me.

For we are bound where mariner has not yet dared go.

And we will risk the ship, ourselves, and all.

Walt Whitman
Texas has four seasons: drought, flood, blizzard, and twister.

Because of its sheer size, Texas experiences all kinds of weather—sometimes all at once.

Out in West Texas, the weather can be drier than the heart of a haystack and windier than a fifty-pound bag of whistling lips.

A duststorm is dubbed “Panhandle rain.”

Thunderclouds might bring some real rain—say, a real gully-washer toad-strangler.

And, all over the state, it’s hot—darned hot. How hot, you ask?

Hotter than a stolen tamale.

Texas Monthly
There are always generic terms like 'Americana', but there are no boundaries as to where it can go.

Robert Plant
I had to clear up my messy life.

By letting go of the debris and filth, I have come to a deeper, more soulful beauty and clarity like an oasis in the desert.

From that place of clarity, a vision of what I could have, what I could do, who I could be has emerged if I allow my heart to become a place of compassion, acceptance and forgiveness.

Sharon E. Rainey
 Come on, September!

I am more than ready to feel the wildness of the mountains,

and have that knowing in the back of my conscience,

"I am stronger now than ever before."
