A PANDEMIC POSITIVE
In this project we had to create a editorial piece & supporting illustration for a select magazine of our choice. For this project I focused the layout based on the Australian magazine Frankie. The article touches on the positive impact the pandemic & lockdown have had on the earths overall environment compared to the contrasting destruction it's caused on our species as a whole. The illustration was created to give visual aid while still creating interest using textures to give the illustration a distinctive look & feel.
The illustration was made in a surreal collage, designed to divide the page showing clear contrast between the negative impact of the pandemic (Fumes & pollution on us as a species) vs the positive results from the pandemic ( The recovering natural world, with animals starting to spring to life, With water and the air being purified). Which is touched on within the article itself.
