Quarantine Journal

Welcome to my
Quarantine Journal!

This is a series of illustrations I started at the beginning of April, to cope with my anxieties
and document my activities during the pandemic.
I started out very confused about everything that was happening and sad that I was missing out on all the spring flowers. I spent a lot of time gazing out the window, looking at the trees and the balconies across the street (most of them have a cat or two and lots of plants).
I then started to grow my own plants (I'd bought some seeds as gifts for friends, but never managed to give them). I got very excited with this and I was often imagining what they'll look like all grown (I planted radishes, parsley and basil).
Then the insomnia kicked in (and it still hasn't gone away).
I started drawing more and kept a LOT of lists.
And then... I began baking sweets. As I'm working from home now, I cook a lot more than I used to. But I never baked. And once I started, I over did it, of course.
I've managed to stop baking though - summer came and I couldn't bare the heat.
I'd also put on a few extra pounds and I was actually imagining myself rolling around and bouncing in the park. I've started eating healthier and exercising more since. Stela, my cat, has been very supportive during all this period (as you can see).
Thank you for stopping by!
