TASK: CREATE A HOME PAGE LAYOUT FOR COURIER COMPANY
Requirement:
1. Size of the artboard - 1000mm (W) x 1800mm (H)
2. A main image /illustration banner
3. Logo of the company
4. A button to get a call back
5. A section for 3 key features
6. A section with some of their service images
7. A small form for entering your details ie., name, number etc.
Design Process:
As a basic design process, I created a mood board to have a better understanding of my project by collating design elements like Images, colors, typography & shapes (for logo) as shown above.
1. Wire Frame:
In continuation I started sketching multiple layouts until I get satisfied with the neat & better one, later I brought the selected layout on the digital platform to create a web home page.
2. Brand & Logo:
To set a brand name I made sure there is nothing exist against my brand(Flying Box), later I started developing logo to suit with the brand name by using lines and square shape to create a box & wings, as a next step I merged with the chosen typography to complete my brand and logo part.
3. Color, Typography & Images:
Once I fixed layout & logo, next process was to chose right color, typography & images to suit as per the above requirements.
• For colors I wanted something in Yellow & Blue shade, therefore I went back to color theory and selected two colors on the basis of cool & warm colors.
• For Typography I was restricted to pick any two types & I wanted to use San Serif for both types and selected "Open Sans Extra Bold" & "Glacial Difference".
• For Images since the web page was courier based I had to select images according to our concept and moving on to the final process to complete task by arranging all those selected design elements in the web homepage layout.

Conclusion:
During this project I learned how to apply the design elements using principles of design and also I got the exposure of keeping similar elements together, variations with different elements and application of good use of negative space, aligning & repetition methodology.
