The TINE Sweet Brown Cheese "Brunost" is one of Norway's most iconic foods. It is known abroad as Ski Queen and comes in several variants and designs in different countries.
In order to have a uniform design across the globe, I was tasked to create a more distinct and iconic packaging design that incorporated a lot of information without being cluttered. Since the products are very small in size (ca 6x5 cm), it was important to have a clear hierarchy using contrasting colours and text sizes/typefaces.
The result was a design system that allows for adaption of language and local regulations.
By using as few colours as possible, the cheese colour showing though a window, costs are kept to a minimum.
