Do you ever go back and rework paintings after you thought they were finished? 

I’ve had a hard time deciding when to call a piece “done” sometimes, but by revisiting a few paintings with improved skills and the willingness to put the time in, I’ve been pleased with the results.

This one started out with the words “bass” and “bear” because I love drawing bears. I did a quick sketch in Procreate, and his little companions were added later in the painting process. The original is done in acrylic paint and colored pencil on paper mounted to hardboard.
