"Maut ka Kua"
Out of the archives, this is something I had the luck to cover.
The Well of Death, better known as Maut ka Kua in India was constructed at a local fair that I happened to visit one evening in the winter of 2009.
By the time we reached one show was wrapping up. They had a show every 15 minutes. Each lasted around 20 minutes. We were hanging around the structure waiting for the next show to begin. One of the stuntmen saw me with my camera and let me inside the 'well'. I didn't know what to expect since this was the first time I got to watch a stunt show like this, and to be in the MIDDLE of it all was mind-numbing, dizzying, deafening, adrenaline rush and goosebump inducing.
