Silkroad Installation
An audiovisual installation that invites to experience the silkroad through diverse senses.
A space to encounter the traditional route as well as the development of the new silkroad.
On silky translucent fabrics animations represent the contrast between the old and the new silkroad, the growth, the transformation in trade and infrastructure as well as the shifting of power distribution.
Visitors becoming travellers and surface for the projections on their way through the silkroad installation. The visual experience is amplified by an ambient soundscape.
A symbiosis of traditional instruments and whispering in different languages
surrounding the visitors.
