Art Direction - The Dawn of Advertising
(1947-2017) Special Report
This special report was commissioned by the Dawn Group of Newspapers to chart the role played by advertising in Pakistan's history from 1947-2017. For this report I primarily designed and tweaked the design template according to the specifications of the CEO and worked as Art Director to help bring his vision to life. The template had to have a similar feel to the previous special reports, "Dawn of Pakistan" and "70 Years of Dawn and Pakistan" but also have it's own unique identity.
I had the opportunity to work with some amazing freelancer illustrators who were hired to illustrate the cover, and give a comic book feel to 4 stories. I worked closely with the illustrators, and helped conceptualize and brainstorm the visuals. The other remaining graphics/illustrations were created in-house.
