Based on the wood routed letters used on signs in Shenandoah National Park. My friends at Meeker & Associates provided me with lots of photos of the signs and during a lull in my normal work, I decided to turn them into a full-fledged font. The uppercase was easy since the reference was all there, but the design lacked a lowercase, which required a bit of time to realize. I added small caps and several figure styles and the font was finished in about one week’s time. The National Park Service has already licensed a few copies to use at the Shenandoah National Park and I hope some of you will find a use for this very idiosyncratic design.
