PROCESS: SCANS

These images become photographs - although they started out as a scans from a very old flat bed scanner. I wanted to get one last project out of it since it was longer supported - technically speaking. I kept finding really nice bits of plant material around my garden which I scanned immediately upon finding them. As the project progressed I decided to create a color palate and isolate the objects on black. I wanted them to be floating in space and bit more rock n roll than usual botanical imagery that I'd see. Each image took 15-20 hours to digitally remove specs and dust - I did not enhance them at all with effects or filters, only printed the images on metallic photo paper - hence the title.
