Right before the upcoming GDPR laws were put in place in 2018, I started a speculative project exploring how the laws could impact public data, and how this information could be presented to the public in order to encourage the public to seek out their own information, and to also inform them of their rights regarding this data. This project focused mainly on transportation data. The design concept explores AR navigation coupled with informative data transparency details about users' travel data. The idea: As you travel with the data transparency companion, learn and see how your data is being used. Congestion on the underground is also a problem, and the design concept taps into early explorations of gamifying and spreading travelers across the platform.
