These ecosystems are as rich in biodiversity as they are sensitive to changes in water temperature. Scientists such as Gabriel Grimsditch, a reef corals expert at the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), say that warming and acidifying the oceans stress corals to colorlessness, in a reaction known as bleaching that decreases their reproductive capacity and can kill them

It’s time for us to act

With this reflection I wanted to emphasize the awareness of the human being before this marine beauty. Colors, shapes and combinations decorate our seabed; a biodiversity that we cannot allow to become extinct.

Corals don’t only provide shelter and food to almost a quarter of the world's marine fauna, they do also protect from tsunamis, floods and different environmental disasters
