When I first started designing silk scarves I was fascinated by the lines and shapes I found in architecture, some of my first and favourite designs originated from photographs taken around London.

When I first moved to London, like most tourists, I explored the city armed with my Oyster card and camera. Two of my most popular scarves from that collection were of a window of St Paul's Cathedral and the structural beams under Blackfriars Bridge.
I had spent the afternoon with my kids on the day I photographed the window grate in St Paul's cathedral. They had their own camera and had spent the day photographing everything from toys to trees and I was fascinated at the view from their height and so spent the day photographing everything from approximately three foot from the ground.
