Predator Prey
This sculpture pits the natural soft fur with the sharp and machine-made toothpicks to make a very sharp juxtaposition of materials that references the relationship that man-made and machine-made objects have with each other. The object made of fur has extensions moving towards the toothpicks as a dynamic of curiosity from the sculpture, but also a sense of tension from the extension that is moving away from the toothpicks. The object made of toothpicks is projecting the sharp toothpicks in a radial pattern to symbolize man-made things reaching into and destroying nature in all directions.
