nature's perfect balance
The Wave desk lamp takes a unique approach in interpreting nature’s innate characteristic of fair balance. The theme of balance can be spotted all around us and, most importantly, within us. Nature/Life is perfectly balanced, with both negative and positive aspects canceling each other out. The wave lamp takes from the concept of balance and puts in on display through the form of a desk lamp.
Designed using simple dome geometry for its diffusers with the addition of a rather striking base, the Wave lamps base takes the form of a segmented wave symbolizing the unbalance that exists within pure balance. So how does it work? The Wave desk lamp utilizes a series of chambers that are filled to maintain its center ( Upright – Lights off). A slight tilt to either side of the Wave lamp would cause its interior to shift, thus triggering it to generate light dependant on the direction of the tilt. Once the balance is maintained at its center, the Wave light goes off, leaving behind a sight of wonder.
Nature is pure balance, and once that balance is disrupted, we get the warning light, this is the story of the Wave desk Lamp.
