In this project there was an emphasis on process - ecology in action, creation of a language to translate the mystery and magic of the human/nature connection. Ecology as community – interdependent landscapes. The performance events combined improvisation and developed work, as well as an exhibition of the installation that makes up the performance space.
Pre-show we danced in various Ōtepoti environments and gathered materials to create the installation. Post-show we took the installations apart, hired a truck and drove to a local beach. We recreated installations on the beach with the organic material and had our own spontaneous dance performance in response to the installations. We left the beach and our installations to reintegrate into the environment.
