I have recently started shooting macro, but I do not have a macro lens. All of these shots were taken with a low end 18-55mm kit lens that has been reversed. I have no ordered a reversal ring yet so these have been pretty difficult. All have been taken with me holding the lens in place and slowly leaning back and forth for focus. Without a macro lens, I do not have control over my aperture. I was able to light up the shots with a speedlight and a shoot through umbrella. 

 

 

Ants have been the most difficult to shoot thus far.

 

As I continue to shoot more, I will add them here. Soon I will also be ordering a reversal ring for my lens to make things a bit easier on me.
