Iguana Dance
I'm gonna dance > I gwanna dance ....
I fell in love with lizards and iguanas during the 15 years I lived in St.John, U.S.Virgin Islands.  Lizards became one of my most popular design motifs on the clothing items I hand painted in my studio/shop.  I became fascinated with iguanas -- I could watch them in the tree or in the parking lot outside my shop window. I always kept a camera and/or a sketchbook within reach so that I could capture them lazing along a tree branch or loping around the parking lot.  They look so clumsy, and yet they can move with lightning speed.  The juvenile green iguana is a brilliant green and so-o-o-o cute!  My iguana art has evolved from a large, wrap-around-the-shirt creature to a happy, lazy character reclining against a palm tree to the current dancing character.

Iguana Dance

Iguana character that I've been working on for some 10 years or so. He's a happy guy who loves to dance.
