Sekinchan is the paddy land, but not all the locals know how paddy farming works. By doing so, it provides community farming opportunity to the locals and also tourists. The mini paddy field in the town and fishery village brings back manual farming from the past as promoting the nostalgic identity of Sekinchan. Water source from the existing canal at the paddy field is then punched through the town to the fishing village to supply water to the ‘pocket paddy’. With the concept of roman aqueduct, elevated above the buildings and infrastructure channeling water to the location of each and every pocket paddy. The elevated canal not only channeling water but also act as a new transportation to transport people and goods in a small boat across the Sekinchan strip. It will be a new way of sightseeing for the tourists. The boat is supported by the pulley system on the elevated canal. Fishing ponds are also designed into the paddy field which is beneficial to the paddy and also the fish.
