A crisis is a series of events at which the trend of all future events is determined, especially for the better or for the worse, therefore, a kind of turning point. With this concept, I wanted to deal with the two crises that are currently threatening our planet, and through this concept, I connected both and showed the current situation we are going through.
The climate crisis, that is, global warming, is something we have been struggling with for many years. There is evidence that climate change is changing rain patterns, preventing rain from reaching areas that need water. These combined effects instead made moderate droughts severe or exceptional. Consequently, the trees that supply us with oxygen are in great danger of drying out or even of fire, which happened in Australia at the end of last year and the beginning of this year.
Another crisis that has spread across our planet is the COVID-19 virus pandemic where the entire planet had to take precautions and be quarantined until the situation improved, which meant there would be no socializing, large gatherings, sports events, not even schools.
I designed the concept so that I put chairs and a table, which would represent socializing people, and a tree that would represent a global warming crisis, under a "glass bell/jar", or a glass box, because I want to send a message with this concept that everything should be done at least for a moment stop, how we should keep ourselves and our nature in good condition, wait a certain time for the crisis to pass, because we do not know approximately when it will pass, or how this situation we are in will be resolved, so the only thing left for us is to wait and be mindful.
