The main idea, that i wanted to execute for a while, was of a hunter with animal elements. It would symbolize the irony of the superiority of the human hunter, being that is ultimate strength for catching prey is his animal instinct. The idea mutated and it ended up being me in the drawing, facing my own animal instincts, and wondering about humanity as a concept. I landed on this version because it reminded me so much of Kafka’s ‘Metamorphosis’, one of my favorite books. The quote is from said book. The primary drawing was done the old-fashioned way, with charcoal pencils and a lot of sleepless nights. The other elements I did with Indian ink and brush, finishing it off with some Photoshop engineering. Pretty much all my knowledge coming together :) Read Less
