I started this personal project back in 2017, when I decided I wanted to celebrate my love for Lindy Hop through illustration. Three years later, this project has evolved.
Mainly because in my first series, only caucasian characters were present.
I understand now that my representation of the dance was limited and biased. I should have made my characters all sorts of POC, and in particular black people.
Lindy Hop is an African American dance as well as my biggest passion.
I hope this series will give it some justice.
I've decided to call the project CHE BELLO BALLARE which means 'it's nice to dance' in Italian. Also, I've decided to make some t-shirts out of them.
