Here is a short story about the process behind a campaign we were commissioned for : Dji Sam Soe, a leading Kretek cigarette brand which is now celebrating its 100th anniversary by embracing Indonesian heritages.
'Amat Victoria Curam' - That was a quote engraved in a handgun depicted in 'The Mechanic'.
The movie was great, so that the quote was.
 
That is something we hold dearly in our team spirit - that everything should be prepared optimally before we put the lights on and opened the shutter. Before a location shoot, we always learn about the location : the weather, the sun movement, the timing, the spots, and everything else. We believe that to win a battle, one should learn the battlefield thoroughly.
Just a few minutes before sunrise, Thank God we brought enough ropes. The hillside wind was so strong even though the meter reading were just showing 5-Kph West. Our crews needed to hold everything tight to keep them in place.
Yeaps! The sun has risen! Let's shoot...!!
 
*Adi, why did you always tell your lead assistant to bring that heavy tripod in the cargo, and again... you did it handheld-ly...
