Since 1971, FFCDC has been dedicated to making positive changes in the lives of underserved children and helping them keep up with the demands of daily life. FFCDC has numerous programs for supporting these children from families that are economically challenged, and among them is the early childhood education program (ECE), designed for 1 to 5 year olds.
ECE is offered from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and it was designed with a preschool research-proven curriculum that combines effectiveness with creativity. Toddlers find the program activities interesting and exciting, while the classrooms are designed to provide an environment rich in literacy.
ECE's curriculum is aligned with the early learning framework and Head Start Child Development standards. Children who show delays in early language and literacy skills are identified and introduced to intensive intervention.
