Metro Tunnel Creative Program

Below is a set of hoarding panels I designed for the Metro Tunnel Creative program in conjunction with Global Arts Program Melbourne, and Metro Tunnel Victoria in 2019. The signs can be found around the Parkville tunnel construction site in the city of Melbourne, Australia. The subjects of each panel were selected as unsung heroes of the local medical community. Keep reading to find out more about each sign:

1: The Mobile Stroke Unit, whose on-board team of specialists have prevented many stroke victims from dying on their way to hospital.

2: Michaela Malcolm and Sarah Wells, Victoria's first female flight paramedics who are highly trained to rescue those in dangerous situations.

3-4: Royal Women's Hospital, an historical and modern Melbourne institution who have been providing for the specific health needs of women for over 70 years.

5: The Brain Mind Research Lab, fronted by professor Peter Bossaerts, whose research into the human brain and decision making is being applied to complex financial problem solving.

6: Joan Kirner, Victoria's first female premier, champion of the education system, pioneer of environmental protection laws and member of the Order of Australia.
