THE APOLLO PAVILION COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

It would be fair to say that Victor Pasmore’s art installation in the new town of Peterlee is not everyone’s ‘cup of tea’ when it comes to environmental art. It is, however a wonderful example of Brutalist architecture and the Apollo Pavillion Community Association was established in 2003 to give residents a say in its upkeep.

Working closely with project manager, Alison Lister, I've loved creating the 50th anniversary brochure. This included a digital illustration of the Pavilion for the cover and the page layouts. I love the abstract shapes that Victor created and have taken the opportunity to include one in the design.
