Blowin' in the wind - A visual reinterpretation

This illustration serves as a reinterpretation of Bob Dylan's Hit song "Blowin in the wind". The heart matter of the song comprises of Dylan's provocative and hard hitting questions to the government and the people who have and misuse power. Through a blissful serenade with the undertones of a woeful lament, Dylan questions the unjust state of affairs and seeks an end to such oppressive suffering. Unfortunately, all he is left with is the sense of uncertainty and a fruitless search for answers. Thus, he concludes his lament with the much popular refrain, " The answer my friend, is blowin' in the wind"

I used a rustic setting with floral imagery to evoke a calming and peaceful aesthetic, as seen in the poetry of Wordsworth and Blake. My aim was was to bring it close to the voice of the counter culture movement and the beatnik philosophy. Hence, the recurring use of flowers representing peace and harmony.
