Arde Madrid! Transmedia experience

Arde Madrid! 3D site is one of the most interesting projects I´ve ever encountered. In 2018, The Cocktail was approached by Movistar + in order to create the transmedia experience for Paco Leon and Anna R. Costa´s awarded TV show.

My proposal was to recreate the central scenario of the series in both a VR roomscale experience (750 visits during December 18) and a cutting edge 3D, webGL based website.
To achieve this, I assembled a team of 3D modellers and creative coders (Little Workshop from France).
I worked head to head with all the team not only coordinating tasks and ensuring delivery dates, but also providing and creating 2D and 3D assets on my own. I also prototyped both the VR experience and the website, which needed to work flawlessly on mobile devices. The UI was crafted putting emphasys on the 3D scenes and applying the brand guidelines from Estudio SOPA in the most coherent way possible.

With the help of Guillaume and Franck Lecollinet from Little Workshop we were able to deliver a state of the art digital experience which received a 100 usability score on
Google´s mobile excellence award at Awwwards, Mobile site of the week, and a special recognition for one of the most innovative sites from 2018.

I also modelled the onboarding scenario for the VR experience, which also involved designing a friendly user experience for new virtual reality users. It teached them how to correctly handle the required motion controllers for the experience making them try the three basic interactions (point, click and grab).
