Umbra - Aalborg University, 2018

Umbra is an interactive projection painting, aimed to visualize data of body- position and movement. The practice based research investigates the characteristics of the targeted field and argues that this technology can create an artform on its own. Interactivity, sound and the virtual representation of the physical world are qualities that projection is able to transmit.

The interactive installation responds to human presence and provides viusal feedback by synchronizing the collected data with the geometrical shapes on the projection canvas. 
The project pertains the aesthetic and philosophical questions in relation to the physical, virtual and analog realms, spaces in spaces and the experience of the self-representation, or virtual alter ego.

The project uses Microsoft Kinect and vvvv.
