Let's face it, we all would love to learn to cook like our mothers, but the task just seems way too daunting. Dr. Adarsh makes sure her special recipes are easy to follow and at the same time healthy for our demanding modern lifestyles. I was asked to create the branding for her channel during the COVID19 lockdown and this channel seemed perfect for all of us stuck at home, itching to become master chefs and craving for some good old "Ghar ka Khana" aka home-made food.
Dr. Adarsh's bold, charming and very Desi personality comes through in her videos, and drove the design of her channel's identity. The tagline "Mummy knows best" and a statement we all truly believe in, became the foundation to drive the brand.
With bright colors and illustrations showing the rolling of the 'roti' an Indian bread, spices used in Indian cooking and typical Desi hand gestures, I created fun patterns and iconography for the channel. Vibrant stickers and labels draw your attention to special important information in the videos, while cheeky tag-lines that we came up with for the channel's social media remind us of our own mothers, who make sure our bellies are full of food and our hearts are full of love!
