Work in progress. I’m currently illustrating a story I wrote that explores how people reconstitute a sense of homeland and heritage in the face of migration and generational distance. Through the experience of this project, for which I’ve interviewed family members and researched our genealogy, I’ve found that my own method to answer these questions of heritage across distance is through the action of drawing and art-making itself. These are from an Independent Study Course with April Prince.
