    About

A series of over-built vaults housing obsolete cell phones which serve as a faulty family history archive.
    Published:
(De)Faulty Archive extends my desire to protect my family's history, trapped in obsolete cell phones, by preserving them in over-built vaults. While the technology affords instantaneous capture of nearly every moment, the record is on fragile hardware, unstable software and dependent on a vast infrastructure of electricity.
(De)Faulty Archive
Steel, acrylic glass, obsolete cell phone, electricity
Each about 10"x12"x3"
2012
The third vault has phone with a screen that reads,

"Invalid PIN. Please Try again."

Locked away in a slowly degrading device, I can only guess what events are imprisoned inside.
