Motion Video | Read More

To create a motion poster aimed at 16-25 utilizing the key principles of advertising encouraging a moral persuasion to ‘Read More’.

Research | Development:
I began researching facts of reading, and picked the most suitable fact relating to 16-25 year old, which was ‘Reading can get you where you want to be’.

I followed up by researching on ‘Science of Persuasion’ what makes people want to do things? Again I picked the rule which I felt the target audience could relate to, which is ‘People relate to people who they look up, They want to share similar goals’ so if your favorite athlete or musician, does something you subconsciously feel the need to.

So I decided to use powerful, influential, successful people as the main focus of my video. Steve Jobs, JAY Z and Obama.

Steve Jobs: Apple products are present in majority of 16-25 yr olds lives, So by reading you can get to that stage, you can be the next Steve Jobs.

JAY Z: From nothing to half a billion, still being relevant to 16-25 yr olds after 20 years in the music industry, and having the power of influence through many outlets.

Obama: The presidential election was going on at the time of this project, and Obama was everywhere, 16-25 yr olds were tweeting and making comments of how cool he was, yet he's the president! and still appealed to the younger generation.

So by combining all of these figures into my video I aimed to give the audience hope and encourage them to read.
Researching 'Science of Persuation'. I am going to implement some of these methods into my Video.
Storyboard development.
Character Development. Opted for a Simple Flat design.
Color Theory and how it relates to each iconic figure. Everything has a purpose.
Final Characters, Each outfit represents something a person aspires to be in life.
Final Characters. Add splash of color to intice the viewer.
Mock up on bus stand. Simple, clear and easy to understand.
Final Poster.
Final Video. Hope You Enjoy :) Dont forget to show some love.
